SAG-AFTRA Foundation BookPALS Reader Workshops are open to SAG-AFTRA and 4 A’s Union members only, unless otherwise specified.

All prospective BookPALS volunteers are required to attend a Reader Workshop. 

Volunteers do not qualify for a Reader Workshop until application and supporting documents are processed. 

Volunteers will not be placed in a school/classroom until their application is processed and they attend a Reader Workshop.

You MUST bring your valid SAG-AFTRA or 4 A’s  ID card (or your receipt of current payment) for admittance. 

Late arrivals will not be admitted.

When you register for a BookPALS Reader Workshop, you are expected to stay for its entirety.

If attending a workshop in Los Angeles, there is no food or drink allowed in the SAG-AFTRA Foundation BookPALS Classroom. Only bottled water.

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation reserves the right to refuse admission or service to anyone.

The SAG AFTRA Foundation reserves the right to refuse entrance to any guests.

SAG-AFTRA members and guests invited to events will behave in a professional and courteous manner. Any violation of the rules or transgression of decorum will be subject to review by the programming team, which has sole authority to remove the member from present and future SAG-AFTRA Foundation programs for unprofessional, discourteous, threatening or similarly inappropriate behavior.
